PROGRAMS

 

The following programs are available:

 

1. Understanding Your Unique Gifts and Abilities – Unlock your potential 

 

One/two day program which includes some modules from the Leadership development Program, specifically tailored towards self awareness. The program includes Understanding Self using the Myer’s Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and Emotional Intelligence. Portions of other modules may also be included in the program to suit the audience. Aimed at the working teams in the community to build stronger teams and increase the resources of the community. This is a new program that is available through NASIMCO to North American Jamaats. This program maybe combined with the current CPD session.

 

2. Leadership Development Program

 

Three day program on developing the capacity of current and future leaders and to develop a support network around them. The premise in which the Leadership Training Programs are run is that “Leaders are made not born”. In the past year Leadership Development Program were held in various locations across North America supported by NASIMCO:

Vancouver – June 2008 – 24 participants

Los Angeles – January 2009 – 18 participants

Toronto – April 2009 – 26 participants

 

3. Mentors training program 

 

Two day program aimed at the Alumni of the Leadership Development Program

 

 

CAPACITY BUILDING IN YOUR JAMAAT

    1. Program that your Jamaat would like to host

    2. Three optional dates for these sessions (to facilitate presenter’s schedule)

     

    Jamaat’s Commitment

    1. Commit to at least an 8 hour instruction session with a maximum of 24 participants

    2. Provide all of the logistical arrangements including space, workshop materials (cost $50 per person), refreshments and meals

    3. Provide local transportation and accommodation for facilitator/s if requested

    4. Course must be open to both men and women

    5. Facilitators return airfare and any expenses he/she incurs to be able to get to the hosting Jamaat city

     

    NASIMCO is introducing capacity building programs within North America with an objective to “Unlock the potential of individuals to serve the community and humanity”. These programs are a World Federation – NASIMCO initiative.The program can be tailored for target groups, for example, teachers, volunteers, working groups, subcommittees or independent participants.
